England will face a quarter-final against Bangladesh at the Under-19 World Cup after suffering their first defeat of the competition against Zimbabwe yesterday. Top spot in Group D went to Zimbabwe, who surpassed England's total of 172 all out in the 48th over to win by two wickets.

England lost all 11 games on their tour of Bangladesh last year, but they now have the chance of revenge today as the competition reaches the knockout stages. England's batsmen struggled against the four Zimbabwean spin bowlers and rarely looked like posting a winning target after being put into bat.

* Tillakaratne Dilshan ran out four players - Ricky Ponting (0), Damien Martyn (1), Simon Katich (56) and Mike Hussey (16) - in a brilliant display of fielding in Sri Lanka's stunning 22-run win over Australia in the first VB Series one-day final at the Adelaide Oval yesterday. Australia were all out for 252 when Michael Clarke was run out for 80 by Sanath Jayasuriya.
