Sarah Taylor’s fifth one-day international century helped England to become the first touring women’s team to win a series in the West Indies.

The wicketkeeper made 100 from 108 balls in an 89-run victory at Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad to seal a 2-0 victory after the opening match was washed out.

Debutant Tash Farrant dismissed June Ogle in her first over and ran out Stafanie Taylor before left-arm spinner Holly Colvin returned 4 for 17 from 8.4 overs as West Indies were dismissed for 96, with more than 13 overs unused.

Taylor followed up her unbeaten 55 in the second match by reaching three figures as England were dismissed for 185. ed aarons
