The Wincanton Classic is the British leg of the 13-race professional World Cup series. Sean Kelly, of Ireland, who is lying joint sixth overall in the World Cup after last weekend's race in San Sebastian, attempts to improve his position, though the overall leader, Olaf Ludwig, from Germany, is also taking part. Stephen Roche, also of Ireland, who crashed in that race, and the American, Greg Lemond, who withdrew from the Kellogg's Tour of Britain on Tuesday through illness, should both be fit to start. The race starts (9am) and finishes (3.30pm) in Leeds City Centre after 156-mile circuit of surrounding countryside.

Where to watch: The Wincanton Classic passes through Otley (9.48am approximately), Ilkley (10.06), Keighley railway station (10.33), Sowerby Bridge (11.30), Huddersfield town centre (11.55), Holmfirth (1.14pm), Flockton (2.22), Gomersal (2.47), finish Headrow after two circuit of Leeds City Centre (3.30).
