Mark Cavendish attacked by urine throwing spectator and other controversial incidents involving fans

The cyclist was targeted during stage 11 of the Tour de France

Mark Cavendish found himself the victim in an incident involving a fan on the Stage 11 individual time trial that ended with the Manx Missile covered in urine.

The incident came after Cavendish was involved in a collision with Tom Veelers at the end of Stage 10 that sent the Dutchman crashing to the ground. But today's action is not the only time that an altercation between a sportsman and a fan has taken place...
