THE PROFESSIONAL Event Riders Association (Pera) has joined forces with Credit Suisse Private Banking to produce rider performance data for its own world-wide website (www.peraworld.net) which will be fully operational from 1 December.

The data, which covers all international three-day events from three- star upwards, covers five categories - dressage, show jumping and three cross-country sections: jumping, time and overall performance.

Taken over a period of 24 months, the first performance tables show Andrew Hoy as leading rider in both dressage and show jumping. The Australian, however, participated in far fewer events than some of his opponents. The dressage table, for instance, shows Hoy achieving the best average score after seven events, with Pippa Funnell in second place after 16 contests. Mark Todd is seventh after riding in a phenomenal 27 events at top level.
