Express dilemma

Nicky Henderson will run both Amtrak Express and Big Matt in Saturday's Racing Post Handicap Chase at Kempton, thus posing a dilemma for stable jockey Mick Fitzgerald.

With both horses boasting recent winning form and the bookmakers unable to separate the Lambourn-trained pair in ante-post lists for the three miles contest, Fitzgerald admitted yesterday he is facing "one of the toughest decisions I've ever had to make".

"It's like Willie Carson with two to choose from in the 1,000 Guineas. It's very, very tricky," the jockey added.

"Amtrak Express has won the Agfa Chase and Big Matt was the winner of the Victor Chandler Chase. They are two horses who could both win and there is only a pound between them in the weights.''
