Wim Jonk, the Dutch international, is to join PSV Eindhoven from Internazionale in a deal worth between four and five million guilders (£1.7m-£2.1m), the Dutch club said yesterday.

The German soccer federation (DFB) yesterday reversed the result of a Bayern Munich victory over Eintracht Frankfurt two weeks ago to punish the reigning champions for fielding too many amateur players. A DFB panel awarded the match, which Bayern Munich had won 5-2, to Eintracht Frankfurt with a 2-0 scoreline.

Greek referees said yesterday they would boycott this weekend's matches in protest against the brutal beating of one of their colleagues by angry fans last Saturday. Eight fans stopped a taxi taking Philippos Bakas to Athens airport, dragged him out and hit him with iron bars and chains before driving off. Bakas said the eight men were AEK Athens fans, angry with a disputed penalty he awarded to Panathinaikos in the closing seconds of the Greek Cup final last Wednesday. Striker Christo Warzycha converted the penalty for a 1-0 win for Panathinaikos.
