International call-ups mean that Sunderland's game against Manchester City at the Stadium of Light has been brought forward to Friday 15 August.

Jo Hughes, the 78-year-old North Wales representative, was appointed president of the Football Association of Wales yesterday. Hughes, from Anglesey, takes over from Brian Fear.
