Kingstonian's FA Cup second-round tie at home to Plymouth Argyle has been switched to Sunday 3 December (1.30pm) while Bradford City's home tie against Preston will kick off at 5pm on Saturday 2 December. Both ties will be televised live by Sky Sports, as will Farnborough's first-round replay against Brentford next Wednesday.

Dan Petrescu, the Romanian international full-back, has completed his transfer from Sheffield Wednesday to Chelsea.

Oxford United were yesterday given planning permission for a pounds 15m stadium at Minchery Farm on the southern edge of the city. Work is due to begin in the new year and Oxford hope to move in for the start of the 1997/98 season.
