Football: Arnold Laver, president of Sheffield United, dies

Arnold Laver, president of Sheffield United, died in hospital on Saturday evening, aged 74. He had been suffering from leukaemia.

The struggling German First Division side Hamburg have sacked their trainer, Felix Magath. Hamburg's league form this season has been poor and a dismal 4-0 home defeat to Cologne on Saturday left them in 15th place, one above the relegation zone.
