ONLY seven Premiership teams have survived to reach the final 16 of the FA Cup, following the extraordinary conclusion of the fourth round last night.

Manchester United are now 6-4 favourites to win the FA Cup and are quoted at 4-1 for the treble - the shortest price ever for that feat. Aston Villa, who travel to Bolton, the conquerors of Arsenal, are 5-1 second favourites for the Cup.

Barnsley, of the First Division, advanced to the final 16 with Brendan O'Connell's goal in the 65th minute enough to clinch their 1-0 home victory over Plymouth Argyle.

In the evening's only non-replay meeting, Wayne Allison scored a second-half hat-trick in Bristol City's 4-0 win at Stockport County. Mark Shail also had a first-half goal for the First Division side, who earlier in the competition had accounted for Liverpool.
