Football: Ince's new injury doubt

AN X-RAY on the hand Paul Ince hurt in Saturday's 1-0 defeat by Chelsea has revealed no fracture. But the Manchester United midfielder has a groin strain and is doubtful for Wednesday's friendly against Denmark at Wembley.

Paul Parker (gashed shin) will also report for England duty while a third United player, Gary Pallister, and QPR's Les Ferdinand proved their fitness on Saturday.

United's Ryan Giggs (hamstring) is out of Wales' friendly against Norway in Cardiff on Wednesday.

Three substitutes will be allowed in the World Cup finals following changes to the laws agreed by Fifa and the International Board. The additional substitute must be a keeper who can only replace a keeper. However, if a keeper is sent off, the substitute keeper can come on by replacing an outfield player.
