Football: McLean loses patience with Motherwell
Tommy McLean, who has converted Motherwell from also-rans to title challengers over the past decade, has resigned as manager after steering the Fir Park club into next season's Uefa Cup. McLean, whose side finished third in the Premier Division, thought money spent on building a new stand should have been used to strengthen his squad. 'My way forward does not seem to be the way of the directors,' McLean said. International Sport Investment, a Cardiff-based subsidiary of a Dubai bank is taking control of the debt-ridden French club Marseille, the club's financial manager said.
