Coventry City v Arsenal

Coventry's new signings, Rennie from Birmingham, and Jenkinson from Hull, are expected to make their Premier League debuts. Wright is likely to be named in Arsenal's 18-man squad despite being just one booking away from a suspension that would prevent him playing against Tottenham in the FA Cup semi-final.

Everton v Nottingham Forest

Everton will be without the suspended Welsh international, Horne, for the relegation battle at Goodison Park. Snodin, recalled to the squad, is expected to take his place. Forest are still troubled by injuries and rule out Pearce (groin), Webb (Achilles tendon), Gemmill (ankle) and Stone (dead leg). Also missing are Keane and Rosario, who both start two-match suspensions. McKinnon, the Scottish Under-21 midfielder, is set for a recall.

Leeds United v Manchester City

Kerslake, a pounds 500,000 midweek signing from Swindon, has shaken off a slight calf strain and makes his debut at right- back for Leeds. With Strachan and Whyte suspended and McAllister still out with a broken arm, Rocastle could make a rare appearance. Hodge, Shutt and Chapman are also in contention while teenage striker, Forrester, a former pupil at the FA School of Excellence, is also in a 16-man squad. City wait for a fitness check on Dutch defender, Vonk. If he is fit then City will field the side that beat Coventry on Wednesday.

Middlesbrough v Liverpool

Middlesbrough will be without their goalkeeper, Pears, who suffered a hip injury in training, Ironside takes over. Liverpool expect to retain the side which finished the match against Queen's Park Rangers in midweek which would mean Rosenthal partnering Rush up front.

Norwich City v Oldham Athletic

Norwich welcome back three players to their squad for the match against the bottom club. Power, a striker, and midfielders, Goss and Megson, are recalled. Oldham, fresh from their success over leaders Manchester United, have called the teenager Makin into a 16-man squad. The striker Marshall has failed to recover from a hip injury.

QPR v Wimbledon

Wimbledon keep faith with the side which beat fellow strugglers Middlesbrough in midweek. Fit-again midfield player Dobbs and defender Fitzgerald have been added to a 16-man squad.

Southampton v Ipswich Town

England Under-21 international Hall has been recalled by Southampton who replaces the injured Moore. Midfielder Hurlock has completed a five-match suspension and is added to the squad. Ipswich are without Welsh international, Williams (hip injury) but hope to have left-back Thompson back after a one- game absence with a hamstring injury.

COCA-COLA CUP

Sheffield Wed v Blackburn

Wednesday's Warhurst (11 goals in the last 10 games) has a fitness test on a knee injury while Hirst, who scored in midweek after six weeks out through injury, and Bright, are fit, giving Francis, the manager, a selection headache. The Owls will be without the suspended full- back, Worthington, and mifielder Sheridan faces a test on his back. Blackburn wait on fitness tests for Wright (stomach strain) and Cowans (thigh).

PREMIER LEAGUE

Manchester United v Aston Villa

United have Robson and Cantona available again after injury and suspension respectively. Robson, who needs to make another four appearances to qualify for a championship medal if United win the Premier League, will probably start on the bench. Villa's full-back, Small, is added to a 15-man squad. Small's inclusion would mean Staunton pushing into midfield.
