Rob Ullathorne

Leicester City

THE 27-YEAR-OLD former Norwich full back's career at Filbert Street seemed ill-starred from the outset when he broke an ankle only minutes into his debut in February 1997. The injury kept him out for 10 months and was followed by a long and difficult comeback. Then, having established himself last season he broke his ankle at Chelsea in April - only a month before his contract expired. Having turned down a new offer, he now finds himself both unfit and unpaid.

Mark Delaney

Aston Villa

JOHN GREGORY nipped in ahead of a number of Premiership rivals to sign Cardiff City's talented right wing-back in March, having searched long and hard for a player to fill the gap in his Aston Villa squad left by the loss first of Gary Charles and then Fernando Nelson. The 23-year- old had a taste of the top flight with two appearances from the bench and made his full debut in Saturday's win at Newcastle. An initial fee of pounds 350,000 (rising to pounds 500,000) could soon look a bargain.
