EVERTON HAVE four first-team regulars back in contention for the home game with struggling Nottingham Forest. Walter Smith's side are looking to improve on their horrendous record of scoring just three goals at home in the League all season. Ibrahima Bakayoko, Olivier Dacourt, Richard Dunne and Dave Watson all missed last Saturday's 1-0 FA Cup win over Ipswich but are available for today's match with Ron Atkinson's new-look side. However, the Merseysiders will still be without John Collins, Alex Cleland, Craig Short and Slaven Bilic.

Big `Red Adair' Atkinson is ready to give debuts to three recent recruits to his all-but-sunken ship. Carlton Palmer, a pounds 1.1m buy from Southampton, and loan signings Hugo Porfirio and John Harkes may all play. Bottom-of- the-table Forest, who are looking for their first League win in 20 matches (and only their third win of the season), will be without captain Steve Chettle, who is serving a one match ban. England international Steve Stone is available again after serving a similar suspension but a calf injury puts his place in doubt.
