<b>Steve and Alex Bruce</b><br/> Steve Bruce (right), now Sunderland manager and former Manchester United stoic, managed his son Alex (left)at Birmingham City. The younger Bruce, a rather more versatile if less successful defender than his father, left Birmingham in 2006 partly over continued rumblings over perceived nepotism and moved to Ipswich Town to further his career. If he was hoping that dad's former team-mate Roy Keane, now manager at Ipswich, would do him any favours, then he may be in for a rude awakening. It is thought that Keane is not likely to offer the younger Bruce a new contract when his current one runs out at the end of this season.

<b>Maxi Pereira</b><br/> Fulham are thought to be tracking Benfica right-back Maxi Peraira, having sent scouts to watch the Uruguayan international in action. The 25-year-old's contract runs out in the summer meaning a deal is there to be done. Fulham brought in Stephen Kelly as cover for John Paintsil in the summer but he has failed to impress and been limited only to Europa League appearances. Pereira can also play in midfield should the cover be needed.
