Arsenal vs Wolfsburg LIVE: Women’s Champions League result and final score after late Lotte Wubben-Moy goal
Arsenal 1-1 Wolfsburg: Lotte Wubben-Moy cancelled out Tabea Wassmuth’s first-half header at the Emirates
Lotte Wubben-Moy scored a late equaliser to leave Arsenal’s Women’s Champions League quarter-final tie with Wolfsburg in the balance after a 1-1 draw at the Emirates.
Defender Wubben-Moy seized upon a free kick from Tobin Heath before thrashing a shot past the Wolfsburg goalkeeper to give Arsenal a deserved equaliser in the 89th minute.
It looked as if the Gunners would be frustrated after Tabea Wassmuth’s first-half header gave Wolfsburg the lead, and the visitors had further chances as Wassmuth hit the post in the second half.
Stina Blackstenius and Beth Mead missed opportunities for Arsenal but Wubben-Moy’s late strike finally levelled the scores ahead of next week’s second leg, which is set to take place after Saturday’s north London derby against Tottenham.
