A "slice of luck" or the "best goal ever"?
There have been conflicting views on Alessandro Florenzi's half-way line wondergoal for Roma against Barcelona in their 1-1 draw in the Champions League last night.
Barca striker Luis Suarez, who opened the scoring before Roma's right-back hit the sensational long range effort (watch below), described the goal as "lucky".
His team-mate Gerard Pique, though, said the goal was "crazy" and one of the "best" he had seen.
“We know how Italian sides are. They sit back and it’s hard to break them down,” Suarez said after the game.
“We controlled possession and had lots of chances, but they scored from distance, which was a slice of luck.”
Pique wrote on Twitter:
It was crazy! When I saw the goal, I didn't believe it! One of the best goals I've received in my career. https://t.co/oPLa9sLTbJGerard Piqué (@3gerardpique) September 16, 2015
