Former Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti is set to take over at Paris Saint-Germain today as the Ligue 1 leaders finally run out of patience with Antoine Kombouaré.

Ancelotti, who was dismissed by Chelsea in May despite leading them to the Double last year, arrived in Paris this week and has held talks with PSG's sporting director Leonardo. The ambitious Qatar-owned club, who hope to sign David Beckham when the transfer window opens next month, are ready to dismiss Kombouaré after he struggled to cope with rising expectations at PSG.
