Arsenal were mocked on Twitter tonight after posting a rather the hopeful hashtag '#MiracleinMonaco' before they failed to overturn a two-goal deficit and were knocked out of the Champions League by Monaco in agonising fashion.
There was no miracle to be had - despite a gallant performance in the 2-0 win, goals from Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud were just not enough after Monaco won 3-1 in the first leg, and the French side prevailed to the quarter-finals.
