Bayern Munich won't sign any more South Americans
Wednesday 07 December 2011
Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge says the Bundesliga powerhouse will not sign any more young South American players.
Rummenigge tells Sport-Bild weekly that "it makes no sense" and the club will instead expand its scouting at home.
Jose Ernesto Sosa of Argentina and Julio dos Santos of Paraguay flopped at Bayern. Brazilian defender Breno remains with the club but hasn't played much. Breno was also arrested recently over arson allegations at his rented house. He has been released.
