Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas is a doubt for the vital Champions League clash in France tonight as he has been struggling with illness in the last few days.

The Spanish midfielder, 27, is one of three players who Jose Mourinho said yesterday had "little problems" with the Champions League last-16 first-leg clash agaisnt Paris Saint-Germain looming.

"We have only little problems, not everybody is perfect," said Mourinho. "Oscar has a problem, Fabregas was ill, Willian still has a little feeling from the Liverpool game, but everybody wanted to try and I would say that only Mikel is completely out."

Fabregas has not started a game in February, since he limped out of the Capital One Cup win against Liverpool on 27 January with a hamstring injury. He returned for the final 20 minutes against Everton but Mourinho admitted the Spaniard makes his team tick.

"We are a different team with Fabregas, I’m not saying better or worse, I’m saying different," he added. "The team grew up from pre-season with him on the team and the team went in a certain direction with a style of play.

"Without him, we lose some control, some possession, we become the same team, well organised, good in transition. But with him, we control the game better, we have more control of the game. We have possession of the ball because of the nature of the style of player he is."

Mourinho also fears that Diego Costa will be less than 100 per cent ready after missing the last three matches because of his ban.

Laurent Blanc's PSG are in the midst of an injury crisis after the weekend with Yohan Cabaye, Serge Aurier, Marquinhos and Lucas Moura all picking up injuries; Marquinhos is the only one who has a chance of returning.
