With Fulham languishing in the relegation zone and Premier League safety anything but certain, fans of the Cottagers should look away now.

Dimitar Berbatov, the cigarette smoking enigma that was allowed to go out on loan to Monaco in January, scored a sumptuous goal to show the Craven Cottage faithful just what they're missing.

The Bulgarian, who memorably unveiled a t-shirt that was equally accurate and arrogant with the words 'keep calm and pass me the ball' during his time with Fulham, netted in the 1-0 win over Nice at the Stade Louis II.

It was his third goal since arriving in the principality and the win meant Monaco ensured champions elect Paris St Germain would have to wait another week the claim the Ligue 1 title.

Watch the goal below...

That Konstantinos Mitroglou, the man Fulham signed to replace Berbatov, has failed to even start a match, let alone score a goal, only makes Berbatov's fine effort all the more agonising for Fulham fans.
