The Valencia coach, Quique Sanchez Flores, has admitted he wanted one of his players to kick Joe Cole or Didier Drogba to stop Chelsea scoring their winner on Wednesday night.

Cole's pass was converted by Drogba to give Chelsea victory in Spain but in a broadside at the fair play Uefa are so keen to promote Quique Sanchez said his players were wrong not to foul the pair before Chelsea scored.

"We should have done something more, especially in the second goal. We should have stopped Cole and Drogba but we forgot to do a tactical foul," he said.

Valencia winger Joaquin, meanwhile, branded Chelsea's win unjust, claiming Avram Grant's side had done very little to deserve the three points. Joaquin said. "They only had one chance in the second half but they took it and we had the chances to equalise but couldn't take them.

"We leave the game feeling really down because we did not deserve to lose."
