Didier Drogba has announced that he will be leaving Turkish club Galatasaray.
The former Chelsea striker revealed the news on Instagram as he thanked the club's fans for supporting him during his time in Turkey.
He wrote: "Dear Fans, dear brothers, dear sisters, since day one of my arrival thanks to you all, I felt at home here in Turkey.
"Sharing, seeing, feeling the passion, sincerity and warm hospitality of My Turkish people is truly unforgettable."
With Drogba set to play his football elsewhere next season, a host of Premier League clubs will surely have been placed on alert, some even speculating that Blues boss Jose Mourinho could be interested in signing his former charge.
Drogba would almost certainly be a popular signing among Chelsea supporters, his last touch of a ball for the club being the one that handed them the Champions League, but questions remain about whether he can still cut it at the very highest level.
There is of course the possibility that Drogba may decide to retire from football altogether.
