Real Madrid could finally be granted their wish to sign Kaka should Florentino Perez return as president of the Spanish champions.

Perez is expected to win an end of season vote to resume office at the Bernabeu and should he return then AC Milan general manager Adriano Galliani has suggested that the Brazil star could be on his way to Spain.

Kaka almost left the Rossoneri to join Manchester City in a record-breaking £100m transfer in January.

“I don't want to talk about Kaka, but I can say that with friends like Florentino anything can happen,” said Galliani.

“Florentino Perez is a great entrepreneur and a good friend and I say that about few football chiefs.”

Real's great rivals Barcelona have denied being in talks with Bayern Munich about a deal to take France winger Franck Ribery to the Camp Nou for next season.

The 25-year-old is also a reported target for Manchester United, but Barca’s technical secretary, Txiki Begiristain, has rejected rumours that his club are closing in on a deal.

He told Catalunya Radio: “There are no negotiations going on with Ribery.

“We have a great relationship with Bayern Munich and vice versa and if we are interested in one of their players, they will be the first to know.

“Of course he is a very good player, but there are other footballers who can also adapt themselves perfectly to Barca’s style.”

Meanwhile, Johan Cruyff has rejected suggestions that it is Real Madrid and not his favoured Barca who are peaking at the right point in the season.

The Catalan side saw their once 12-point lead over their bitter rivals cut to just four points after losing at Atletico Madrid on Sunday, but the former Barca coach is certainly not pressing the panic button.

“Barca have dropped eight points to Madrid but nobody would want to swap places with Los Blancos, even if Madrid have won ten consecutive matches,” said the popular Dutchman.

“For me, Barca are the strongest team. There are details to be improved upon to avoid any more problems. Above all, they must continue to believe that they are the best and start winning again.

“On Wednesday it will be Barca playing in Mallorca for a place in the (Copa del Rey) Final, not Madrid.

“In ten days, Barca will go into the second leg of their Champions League tie as favourites, not Madrid.”
