Claudio Ranieri this week said he was prioritising Leicester’s Champions League campaign over the stuttering defence of their Premier League title defence, with the Foxes sitting pretty at the top of Group G.

Two wins from two over Club Brugge and FC Porto have seen the Foxes move to within four points of a near-guaranteed qualification to the Round of 16.

Leicester are yet to concede a goal in the Champions League and should they keep up that record on Tuesday night, they should see the three points staying at the King Power.

Riyad Mahrez and Islam Slimani are both expected to return to the starting XI for the game, after only playing 23 minutes of the league defeat to Chelsea on the weekend.

It’s a big game for…

Jamie Vardy. The England international has struggled to replicate his form of last season, with only two goals to his name this season, excluding the Community Shield. Teams seem to have worked out how to play him and he was need to find another way of terrorising defences.

Best stat…

Danish clubs have only won one of their last 14 trips to England in all competitions (D5 L8), it was Midtjylland against Manchester City in August 2008 in the UEFA Cup qualifiers.

Remember when...

There is not much to remember in terms of Leicester City’s European adventures other than the scenes at the end of their 3-0 over Club Brugge in their first game. The last team to win their first two Champions League games ever was Malaga in 2012/13.

Player to watch…

Islam Slimani. The Algerian scored the only goal in the win over Porto and has a fantastic understanding with countryman Mahrez – who has been involved in 75 per cent of Leicester’s Champions League goals ever. He has plenty of European experience so expect him to use it.
