The keeper had no chance

Life must be difficult for goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen, playing second fiddle to Manuel Neuer in the German team and Claudio Bravo in the Barcelona squad.

And then when you do get a chance to practice, Lionel Messi doesn't exactly give you a chance to be tested.

Before the Spanish side's match against Villarreal at the Camp Nou on Sunday, Barcelona showed a video of the four-time winner of the Ballon d'Or during a warm up on the pitch with the no. 2 goalkeeper.

With the 22-year-old German keeper preparing for a Messi shot from just inside the area, the Argentine's sweetly-struck attempt curved into the top corner of the goal perfectly. ter Stegen barely moved and even if he did, he would never have reached the ball.

The warm up certainly worked for Messi, who scored the winning goal on Sunday. Barcelona had to come back twice against Villarreal before the Argentine scored in the 55th minute to give the Catalans the win and their eighth straight victory.
