Luis Suarez: Striker pictured training with Barcelona team-mates after CAS ruling

Uruguayan could make Barcelona debut in friendly on Monday

Luis Suarez started training for the first time with his Barcelona team-mates today, after the Court of Arbitration for Sport ruled yesterday that his four-month ban will now only be for official matches, meaning he can train and play in friendlies.

Suarez will also now be finally unveiled at the Nou Camp before Monday's friendly against Club Leon, a game in which he could play in a Barcelona shirt for the first time too.

The Uruguayan was sent home from the World Cup in disgrace after he sank his teeth into Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini and world governing body Fifa hit him with a four-month ban from all football, a nine-match suspension from international matches, and a hefty fine.

Suarez, who moved from Liverpool for £75m last month,  was all smiles as he trained with his team-mates for the first time.

Suarez is expected to make his competitive debut for Barcelona in the El Clasico contest against Real Madrid on 26 October, the day after his ban ends.
