Manchester City vs CSKA Moscow: City fan so bored at the Etihad that he makes a peanut butter sandwich during the match

It's one of the most random things you'll see at a football match, but the fan had reason to be bored with City's woeful performance in the 2-1 defeat

The surprise 2-1 defeat to CSKA Moscow may have left Manchester City fans in desperation with the Champions League hopes left in tatters, but one fan managed to perk himself up after he made a peanut butter sandwich in the crowd at the Etihad Stadium.

Such was the lacklustre performance from City, the fan appeared so bored that he looked oblivious to the fact that there was a Champions League match unfolding in front of him.

While we’re not knocking the classic peanut butter sandwich, it’s certainly one of the more random things you’ll see among a football crowd. What is more worrying is whether the fan was able to take a knife into the stadium, although whatever utensil he has is obscured in the picture.

City didn’t have much to take from their defeat on Wednesday, with both Fernandinho and Yaya Toure sent-off as Manuel Pellegrini’s side lost their heads under pressure.

They must now win both of their remaining games – an unlikely outcome given they face Bayern Munich and Roma – and hope that results go their way, but the likelihood is that they will be playing Europa League football at best come 2015.

But despite all the doom and gloom in the blue half of Manchester, at least this fan managed to satisfy something – his hunger.
