Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic remains doubtful for tonight's Champions League semi-final first leg against Barcelona at the Nou Camp after being taken to hospital with a stomach complaint last night.
Vidic looked relaxed at United's pre-match press conference yesterday afternoon, but was taken to hospital later in the evening with a stomach problem.
However, a spokesman at Barcelona's Hospital de Bellvitge said the Serbia defender's condition was not serious.
"He was brought here last night with a stomach problem and kept in for a couple of hours, but was later released as the condition was not very serious," David Calimany told PA Sport.
Calimany was unable to reveal specific details of the player's condition or treatment, but believes Vidic will be able to participate in tonight's match.
"I cannot reveal more details, but the condition was not serious and I would have thought he will be able to play this evening," he said.
However, the final decision on the player's availability will be left to the Manchester United team doctors.
"Whether he plays or not is not our decision. He is back with the team and the club doctors will decide if he is fit to play this evening," Calimany added.
Vidic was recently sidelined for three weeks with a knee injury.
