Arsenal injury list: Wojciech Szczesny expected to play, but Jack Wilshere and Gabriel Paulista out of quarter-final tie with Manchester United

Polish goalkeeper deemed fit enough to play at Old Trafford

Wojciech Szczesny is expected to start at Old Trafford after coming through training sessions on Friday and Sunday without any problem.

The Polish goalkeeper, who has lost his No 1 spot to David Ospina in recent weeks, has played just twice since two bad errors against Southampton on New Year's Day.

But Arsene Wenger chooses to play his second-choice goalkeeper in the cups, so Szczesny will likely start ahead of the Colombian despite the magnitude of the game.

Nacho Monreal's return is still in the balance, though he completed a training session on Sunday, but new signing Gabriel Paulista is definitely out and is not expected to return until after the Monaco match next week.

Jack Wilshere is definitely out of the game, though isn't far from a return, while Mathieu Flamini is another who should return.

Abou Diaby, Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Debuchy are long-term concerns.
