Louis van Gaal has made Victor Valdes wait slightly longer to make his Manchester United debut after opting to leave him on the bench for the FA Cup clash with League Two Cambridge United.

The former Barcelona goalkeeper was expected to start but the Dutch coach has opted to continue with the in-form David De Gea.

James Wilson and Radamel Falcao will start up front, but it is not entirely clear what formation Van Gaal intends to play. Adnan Januzaj is handed a rare start, perhaps as a left wing back, while Angel Di Maria, Michael Carrick and Marouane Fellaini are in midfield.

For Cambridge, former Manchester United youngster Luke Chadwick has been left on the bench.

LINE-UPS:

Cambridge United: Dunn, Tait, Taylor, Coulson, Donaldson, Champion, Elliott, Hughes, Nelson, Raikai, McGeehan, Kaikai

Subs: Norris, Miller, Dunk, Simpson, Ball, Chadwick, Bird

Manchester United: De Gea, Jones, Rojo, Blind, Valencia, Carrick, Fellaini, Januzaj, Di Maria, Wilson, Falcao

Subs: Valdes, McNair, Rafael, Shaw, Fletcher, Herrera, van Persie
