Capital One Cup: Swansea vs Everton match preview

A look ahead to tonight's League Cup fixture at the Liberty Stadium

As the Capital One Cup enters the third-round, so do the big boys from the Premier League.

The draw pitted two of them against one another in the shape of Swansea and Everton - two teams who would be keen to reach the later stages of the competition.

Swansea, who won the competition in 2013, have started the season in strong form under Garry Monk and sit fifth in the Premier League table after five games thanks to three wins under their belt. However, their last outing was a 1-0 defeat at home to Southampton. The Swans will be looking to bounce back quickly.

To do that, they'll have to beat Everton who have been struggling to get going this term. They were surprisingly beaten 3-2 by Crystal Palace at the weekend meaning they still have just one win to show for their efforts so far this term. Roberto Martinez will be hoping his side can do better than last term when they were knocked out at this stage to Fulham.
