Life at Blackpool continues without Michael Appleton, who left for Blackburn 24 hours before the weekend game with Charlton. It was a match Blackpool lost 2-1, which meant they slipped down below Charlton into 15th place in the Championship.
The club was granted permission to speak to Dundee United manager Peter Houston over the vacancy on Monday, although Appleton’s former assistant Steve Thompson will again take charge for the visit of Fulham.
The Premier League side are also enduring a frustrating spell, forced to settle for a 1-1 draw with Wigan on Saturday, which compounded a run of one win in seven matches. The Londoners are only six points clear of the relegation zone, which may influence Martin Jol’s squad selection for the replay.
