Michael Owen's commentary career hasn't exactly been the most popular.

Almost as regular as clockwork, Owen's name lights up social media when he is in the box - and so it was when Manchester United hosted Sheffield United in the third round of the FA Cup.

Owen's name was a top 'trend' throughout the match, as fans complained of his "boring" style and lack of insight.

Others simply posted "zzzzzzzzzzzz" and one witty user said that the only thing more boring than watching Louis van Gaal's team is listening to Owen commentate.

Paul Scholes later said Manchester United players looked "bored" during the win.

They couldn't hear Owen.
