Former Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor says he will celebrate if he scores against his old club when Crystal Palace travel to White Hart Lane on Sunday.
The London pair will meet in the FA Cup fifth round after the 31-year-old was released from his £100,000-a-week contract at Spurs only to later join up with Alan Pardew at Selhurst Park.
Adebayor has previous when it comes to extravagant celebrations against former employers after galloping the entire length of the field in 2009 to goad Arsenal supporters upon scoring for Manchester City in 2009.
“I play football, why am I not going to celebrate against Tottenham?” said the Togolese star. “Today I don't play for Tottenham. Scoring goals is what I do best in my career. If I score against Tottenham, trust me, I'm going to celebrate.
“If I'm on the pitch and I score and I'm not going to celebrate I would rather tell the manager I'm not going to play because what is the point of scoring goals and not celebrating?
