Neither Middlesbrough nor Leicester could take full advantage of leaders Cardiff's implosion at Charlton, both being held to 0-0 draws at Nottingham Forest and Bolton respectively.

High-flying Hull beat fading Wolves 2-1, Sone Aluko and Jay Simpson put Steve Bruce's side two-up before a James Chester own-goal with 23 minutes to go gave the visitors hope.

Blackburn looked to have recorded their first victory under new manager Henning Berg, the recalled Danny Murphy putting them 2-1 ahead at Huddersfield, but a late Lee Novak goal, his second of the game, denied them.
