Evans faces court over rape charge
Monday 01 August 2011
Ched Evans, the Sheffield United and Wales striker, has been charged with rape, his lawyers have said.
The 22-year-old, who has been linked with a move to Leicester, was arrested in Rhyl at the end of May for the alleged offence and has since been charged by North Wales Police.
Evans has been bailed and will appear in court this month. He vehemently denies the charge, his lawyers said.
