Cardiff City 0 Newcastle United 1

Was it a fair result? Yes. For all our huffing and puffing we just don't have the class to beat teams like Newcastle United. We never really looked like scoring and players like Michael Chopra and Jay Bothroyd have shown earlier in their careers that they aren't up to Premier League standard.

Can City go up this season? We've got no chance. Depressingly, it already looks as though the three teams that came down last season are far better than the rest of this division. (swcbluebird, Cardiff fan)

Coventry City 1 Bristol City 1

Was it a fair result? Not really as we dominated most of the game and deserved all three points. It was always going to take something special for City to score on the day but the equaliser was a top-drawer strike. (Dion, Coventry fan)

Who was the Bristol City hero? It has to be Nicky Maynard for the way he took his goal. Alvaro Saborio chested it down nicely but Maynard left the keeper with no chance from 25 yards. He's showed flashes of brilliance like that during his time at the club but he needs a little more consistency. (Rocky, Bristol City fan)

Crystal Palace 0 Scunthorpe United 4

Is Neil Warnock losing the fans? The boos at full-time speak volumes as we've gone backwards under him. Warnock will say he's had no money and his hands are tied but we're playing rubbish football and getting walloped by struggling sides. It's time for a change. (Animal_Magic, Palace fan)

Happy with the performance? Last time we won 4-0 away from home we went on to win the League. Premiership here we come! Well perhaps not but it's certainly a nice result after a torrid season so far. (VintageClaret, Scunthorpe fan)

Derby County 0 Sheffield United 1

Was it the right result? The Rams lost their 100 per cent start to the season at home with a lacklustre performance and questionable tactics and formation. Twenty-eight thousand fans witnessed some dire passing and few scoring opportunities in a game that both sides could have won.

What are the fans saying? Nigel Clough again played just one striker at home and it is something that needs addressing sooner rather than later if the Rams are to finish out of the relegation places this season. (Ian Hayes, derbycounty-mad.co.uk)

Leicester City 2 Blackpool 1

Who shone for the Foxes? Matty Fryatt was largely responsible for getting us out of League One last year and his performances already this season prove he is a Premier League quality player. That's five in eight games now and we just have to pray he can stay fit. (Bill_Durham, Leicester fan)

Will Blackpool stay up? We've got the makings of a really decent Championship team and I'm confident we can finish in mid-table this season. A couple more Alan Gows or Charlie Adams' and we'd be up in the play-off places. (Jimbo78, Blackpool fan)

Middlesbrough 3 Ipswich Town 1

Are Boro going back up? We will be back in the Premier League next season without a shadow of a doubt. Credit must go to Gareth Southgate as he's lost some key players but he has scouted the lower leagues well and done some good business. (whitbyboroboy, Middlesbrough fan)

Is time already up for Roy Keane? Don't give Keane any more games. Get rid of him now Marcus Evans or we will be down with Norwich City next season. Bring back George Burley or Joe Royle. (Bulldog1, Ipswich fan)

Preston North End 2 Swansea City 0

Did Preston deserve the win? Preston appeared to have a couple of gears to spare as they were rarely threatened by Swansea except for a smart save made by Andy Lonergan with his legs in the second half.

What was the story of the game? Neil Mellor headed in from a set-piece in the first half and a late surge by Chris Sedgwick meant that Stephen Elliott was able to tap in to seal the victory in what has been an excellent start to the season for the Whites. (Simon Ostiadel, prestonnorthend-mad.co.uk)

QPR 1 Peterborough United 1

Happy with Rangers' form? Jim Magilton is struggling here and so is Roy Keane at his former club Ipswich Town. Any chance of a job swap please? (Golom, QPR fan)

How will Posh fare this season? Darren Ferguson came out in the week and said we could still get promotion. I'm his biggest fan but surely he's living in cloud cuckoo land. I'll be happy with a safe mid-table finish this season. We need to learn to walk in the Championship before we can run. (Stamford_Blue, Peterborough fan)

Reading 0 Doncaster Rovers 0

Happy with the point? It may have been a goalless draw but I'm starting to see signs of a decent team developing under Brendan Rodgers. New signings Darren O'Dea, Brian Howard, Shaun Cummings and Grzegorz Rasiak all did well. (BerkshireBlue, Reading fan)

Was the draw the right result? We certainly didn't deserve all three points and it's another step closer to safety. That's how we've got to look at it and anything else will just be a bonus. Well played lads. (Yorkielass, Doncaster fan)

Sheffield Wednesday 1 Nottingham Forest 1

What was the turning point? Forest striker Dexter Blackstock missed a sitter in the first half at 1-0. If that had gone in we may have had no way back. Forest started the better but we came back in the second half. Forest's Paul Anderson was a constant menace.

What next for the Owls? With three games in less than a week, this is an important stage that will start to shape the Championship campaign, especially for ourselves with the Sheffield derby next Friday evening. (Chris Morris, owls-mad.co.uk)

Watford 1 Barnsley 0

How well is the manager doing? Malky Mackay is working wonders on a shoestring budget. To be honest I feared the worst when we started selling some of our best players but Malky has stepped up and not only brought stability to the club but taken us on. (RocketMan, Watford fan)

Can Mark Robins save Barnsley? His track record is good but I can't help feeling that we've missed a trick as we should have appointed someone with experience of a Championship relegation battle. At least we've moved on from Simon Davey though! (redmist, Barnsley fan)

West Bromwich 3 Plymouth Argyle 1

Was it a fair result? After the first 30 minutes Albion were in complete control. Despite another defensive blunder from Shelton Martis, the Baggies showed great character to win after going a goal down.

Who were the main men? Graham Dorrans and Marek Cech stood out for Albion. Dorrans, after his international call-up in the week, covered every blade of grass and pulled the strings in the middle. Cech had his best game by far in an Albion shirt and capped it off with a stunning 20-yard drive. (Iain Bate, westbromwichalbion-mad.co.uk)
