Jackett: Millwall can still make play-offs

Millwall manager Kenny Jackett remains confident that his side can make the play-offs despite dropping two points in the 3-3 draw with Cardiff on Saturday. "We are six points off the play-offs," he said. "I think we are in a very good position to challenge for them." The striker Steve Morison scored an 87th-minute equaliser to deny Cardiff a first win in four games. Chris Burke had twice put Cardiff ahead but Millwall, who had Alan Dunne sent off late on, battled back for a point to stall Cardiff's claims for automatic promotion.

At the other end of the league, Preston's Nathan Ellington scored a injury-time winner to beat manager-less Coventry 2-1 at Deepdale, keeping their slim survival hopes alive. Preston's second win in five days moved them to within eight points of safety, with a game in hand, whilst Coventry's run of seven games without a win leaves them in increasing danger.
