Tunisian referee Slim Jdidi has been suspended in the wake of his contentious handling of Wednesday night's African Cup of Nations semi-final between Burkina Faso and Ghana.
Burkina Faso won 3-2 on penalties but the winning coach, Paul Put, described Jdidi's display as "scandalous". The Confederation of African Football general secretary Hicham El Amrani said Jdidi has been sanctioned for a "period yet to be determined".
