Wayne Rooney: Even though he is not physically playing this Friday’s game, Rooney did score the winning goal at their previous encounter with the Estonian’s. The striker will miss Group E’s qualifier match at Wembley after injuring his ankle in Manchester United’s defeat at Arsenal last weekend. Rooney will receive a commemorative golden boot from Sir Bobby Charlton whose record he beat when he scored his 50th international goal against Switzerland last month.

The odds of Estonia getting the win they likely need at Wembley are 20/1 with England favourites at 1/8. The draw is priced at 7/1. England are also the only team in the European Championships with a 100 per cent record, topping Group E with 26 goals.

Remember when…

The only goal that was scored in their last encounter was by Rooney who is sitting out their next game. The magnificent free kick which secured his 43rd international goal was the beginning for England to progress to European qualification.

Player to watch…

Gary Cahill: The Chelsea defender will captain England due to Rooney’s absence. This will be Cahill’s first time leading out his country with over 30 caps has represented the nation at the 2014 FIFA World Cup. The centre back also has an impressive goal-scoring record from defence.
