Goalkeeper heads corner into own goal seconds after saving penalty

Bizarre own goal took place in the Asian Champions League

One of the most bizarre own goals ever took place in the Asian Champions League on Tuesday when a goalkeeper headed in an own goal from a corner.

As if that wasn't bad enough - But Tan Truong completely misjudging the flight of the ball as he tried to punch it away - the Binh Duong goalkeeper had saved a penalty just seconds earlier to concede the corner.

With the scores level at 1-1, Binh Duong were doing well against the heavily favoured FC Tokyo.

In the second half of the game at the Ajinomoto Stadium, the Vietnamese visitors were doing well, holding the score at 1-1.

Goalkeeper Truong was briefly the hero when he saved brilliantly down to his left to deny Francisco Sandaza (who had spells at Brighton & Hove Albion and Rangers) from the penalty spot.

But just seconds later as the ball swung in the keeper got it all wrong, completely missing his punch.

The ball hit his head and flew into the unguarded net.

FC Tokyo went on to win 3-1.
