Spain stay clear at top of world rankings

European champions Spain remained top of Fifa's world rankings for an eighth month with a shortage of international action resulting in no changes to the top ten.

Despite not playing a match in the past month, Spain slightly extended their points lead over second placed Germany in the standings which are based on teams' performances over the past four years.
