If England make it through the group they play the winner or runner up of Group C which consists of Colombia, Ivory Coast, Japan and Greece. If England win Group D they will play in Recife on Sunday 29 June at 9pm. If Roy Hodgson's side are runners-up they will play in Rio de Janeiro on Saturday 28 June at 9pm.
If England make it through to the quarter-finals they will play one of the teams to emerge from either Group A (Brazil, Croatia, Mexico and Cameroon) or Group B (Spain, Netherlands, Chile and Australia). The quarter-final will be played on Friday 4 July at 9pm if England were runners-up in Group D, or Saturday 5 July at 9pm if they won the group.
The semi-finals are on Tuesday 8 July at 9pm and Wednesday 9 July at 9pm. If England make it that far this will be the point at which they play a team from the other side of the draw. France, Argentina, Germany, Portugal and Belgium are the teams being backed to make it to that stage.
The final will be played in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday 13 July at 8pm.
