Paul Lambert's departure from Aston Villa has led to an immediate recall for Christian Benteke, with the Belgium striker back in the starting XI for the FA Cup third-round game against Leicester at Villa Park today.

Benteke had been left out of the side for the defeats to Chelsea at home and Hull City away on Tuesday - Lambert's final game in charge of the club.

Ron Vlaar regains his place after injury, with Jores Okore on the bench. Scott Sinclair, the winger signed on loan from Manchester City in January, drops to the bench, as do Carles Gil and Gabby Agbonlahor.

Sherwood confirmed as Villa manager

Nigel Pearson has decided to keep faith with January signing Andrej Kramaric for today's game, meaning Leonardo Ulloa misses out again.

Ulloa is on the bench, having also been absent from Leicester's starting lineup for the 2-1 defeat to Arsenal at The Emirates on Tuesday. In the only other change for Leicester from that loss, Marcin Wasilewski regains his place from Robert Huth, with the German cup-tied having already played for Stoke in this season's competition.
