David Beckham has signed a new two-year deal with the Los Angeles Galaxy having turned down the chance to return to Europe with Paris Saint Germain earlier this month.
The former England captain said last night: "I had many offers from clubs from around the world, however, I'm still passionate about playing in America and winning trophies with the Galaxy."
Beckham, who turns 37 in May, will play in the Great Britain Olympic team this summer. He will answer questions in an online forum today where he is expected to cite his family’s desire to stay in LA as his primary reason for not retuning to Europe.
