Liverpool crashed out of the Europa League on penalties last night after Dejan Lovren's missed spot-kick - but it isn't all bad news for the Reds.

Historically, Brendan Rodgers' side have an astonishing record in penalty shoot-outs with last night's disappointment representing just their third defeat in fifteen.

In a run of fixtures which includes club triumphs and heartbreaks alike, from that famous Champions League win over AC Milan in 2005 to being dumped out of the League Cup by Northampton five years later, life certainly isn't boring for Anfield regulars.
